Transition from 1C: PPM
to 1C:ERP

ERP is a product which was initially created, on the one hand, for scalability, and on the other hand - for disclosure and enhancement of company's capabilities.
With the discontinuation of PPM support starting in 2026, switching to ERP is the best solution.

Why migrate
from 1C: PPM to 1C:ERP? Is it possible to do without?
In 2018, 1C took the 1C:Manufacturing Enterprise Management (MEM) system out of the price lists, and then announced that it would stop supporting the program by 2026. In place of the outdated solution for comprehensive automation, the firm offered the product 1C:ERP Enterprise Management - a flagship project with a number of technological and functional advantages.

Since both products are complex solutions that automate all parts of the business in large manufacturing enterprises, it is impossible to talk about a simple, typical transition from one program to another. The thing is that all the systems and processes of the software are adjusted for the working schemes, acquire individual features, integrate and grow to the level of complete subsystems. It is difficult to transfer all information and relationships without special knowledge.
In order to switch from ERP to PPM in the most efficient way, taking into account all the nuances of the business, you need the support of professionals. We will help you organize the transfer of documents and accounting data, run the document management and basic processes, including budgeting, prepare projects for additional changes and implement them in practice.
Compared with the PPM, the new system contains many features and benefits that were not previously available to business. Here are just a few of them:

How is the transition from "1C:Manufacturing Enterprise Management" to 1C:ERP beneficial for the company?
● Production Control Unit for management of inter-workshop transitions, equipment loading, dispatching, and problem location management.
● Block for repair accounting, control of unscheduled, current and planned repair activities.
● Cost accounting module with capabilities to calculate the cost of production, control calculations (correctness, validity, etc.).
● Convenient tools for financial management and treasury management - allow for accounting in different areas of activity.
● Redesigned budgeting mechanisms, control and management possibilities with the use of Gantt Chart.
Automation of trading and warehouse activities - allows not only to manage sales but also to organize mobile working places at the warehouse or for sales representatives.

There are additional tools for customer relationship management: due to this, the marketing department will be able to track and evaluate the effectiveness of promotions held and deals made, as well as to form a sales funnel and even evaluate the work of employees.
In addition, 1C:ERP includes substystems: procurement management, financial accounting (including for individual departments), personnel management and payroll, there is support for accounting under IFRS.
But most importantly, the individual elements of the system can be used as needed without changing the global configuration (ie, without the elements of programming).

How we work:
stages of transition from 1C:PPM to 1C:ERP

Initiation of transition from PPM to ERP is a preparatory stage and determination of approaches to implementation of a new automated system, and preparation of a general transition plan. The list of tasks and main procedures depend on the peculiarities of the particular enterprise, business model, production, and industry specifics. The required software functionality is also taken into account.

Initialization .
Defining KPI. Planning of time, labor, financial and other costs. Analysis of risks, constraints and assumptions. Assistance and support for organizational processes.
Modeling .
Preparation of the process flowchart of production processes, both in current conditions and after the implementation of ERP. Analysis of how functions and tools of the system fit into the business processes of the enterprise. Identification of functions in need of improvement. Selection of the optimal sequence of implementation blocks
Creation of the scheme of main processes implementation
Under this concept fall all processes that create gross profit, provide production and necessary for their work supporting processes (providing the functioning of the entire enterprise). As a rule, this is sales and procurement, inventory management (in 1C: ERP system for this is responsible module "Warehouse and Logistics"), "Treasury".
Creating an implementation scheme for the remaining blocks:
"Production", "Planning", "Cost Accounting", etc.
"Accounting and Tax Accounting.
It is launched simultaneously with the main blocks, or after the completion of other works on implementation.
After modeling phase we write a requirements specification for the modification of the typical configuration of the product, for data migration from the old platform EPM to ERP, as well as the exchange of information with other software. Examples of revisions include the process of coordinating payment or delivery orders, changing the look and functionality of the payment calendar, etc.
Transition to the working base, staff training
At the next stage we refine the functionality of 1C: ERP, based on the regulatory documents (ToR). Upon completion we conduct testing and make adjustments if necessary. Throughout all stages we provide technical and consulting support.

Successful testing enables you to go to the training of your employees. Our experts prepare manuals for working with new software features of the product, conduct "live" seminars and training sessions for users. The experience of the company allows you to reduce the time cost at each stage.

At the same time we organize workplaces, install the latest configuration of 1C:ERP, configure options: general, for the user, access rights, directories, forms, reports, etc. We transfer the data according to the previously developed ToR, and at the end, we reconcile: check that the data in 1C:PPM and in 1C:ERP, as well as other sources (for example, MS Excel) are the same.

The penultimate stage is the launch of pilot, and then pilot operation. In the first case, the work takes place in the test mode with the data for previous periods. In the second - with real data.

The final stage is closing of parallel accounting, the transfer of functioning 1C:ERP system to customers.
The main thing is that the goals of the transition meet the company's requirements. Transition should be done not because a new version of the product was released, but to expand working tools for the enterprise management and automation of separate directions. Our goal is to create conditions for increasing customer's profit and making effective decisions on the basis of opportunities provided by ERP.
